We're always working on new features and improvements to make property management more efficient for you. Whether you’re a landlord, property manager, or tenant, we have some exciting updates for you this quarter. Let's dive in.

Payment Order Option

January 10

With the new Payment Order feature in Payment Settings, landlords can now require tenants to pay previous invoices before newer ones. This ensures payments are made in the correct sequence and minimizes outstanding balances.

How It Works:

  • Tenants must pay overdue invoices first before settling new ones
  • Invoices can be paid all at once or one by one, starting with the oldest
  • Tenants cannot remove or partially pay old unpaid invoices at checkout

Tenant Screening: Criminal & Eviction Reports from Asurint

January 17

Tenant screening is an important part of the application process. That’s why we’re continuously improving our screening tools. In January, we reintroduced Background Reports through Asurint for reliability. Additionally, our Eviction Reports now also come from Asurint for greater accuracy and broader coverage.

Our screening packages gather data from multiple screening services, ensuring you get the most reliable and up-to-date insights on prospective tenants, including:

  •  Background, criminal, and credit screening data
  • Income insights information
  • Detailed local county reports

Document Templates: New List & Preview

January 22

Managing document templates is now more intuitive. The updated My Templates list page received the following changes:

  1. Add templates to Favorites
  2. Attach related files separately

Tenant App

January 28

The Tenant App is more user-friendly, with updates designed to simplify the rental process. Here’s what’s new:

Past and Ongoing Rent Reporting

Tenants can set up both ongoing and past rent reporting directly from the home screen, right next to their rent balance, making it easier than ever to build or improve credit history right from the app.

Screening Statuses

New screening statuses are now displayed in the app, providing clarity on why certain screening requests can’t be completed. Plus, outdated screening packages have been removed for a cleaner experience.

Payment Order Enforcement

Tenants can now be required to settle past-due balances before making new payments, helping to keep accounts up to date.

These updates are part of our ongoing effort to make the TenantCloud experience as seamless as possible. And there’s more to come! Stay tuned and download the latest version from the App Store or Google Play

Utility Services

February 5

Moving in new tenants can be a handful, but utility setup doesn’t have to be. With Utility Services, landlords and property managers can ensure tenants set up utilities before moving in, reducing unexpected issues and improving the move-in process.

Time-Saving Tenant Self-Service

Instead of chasing down setup confirmations, landlords can send utility requests directly through TenantCloud. Tenants choose from available providers including internet, electricity, gas, water, sewer, and trash. This service allows tenants to handle the setup themselves while keeping landlords informed. Tenants can also browse available internet options nearby, select a plan, and request installation directly from their TenantCloud account.

A Hassle-Free Move-In Experience

By eliminating manual coordination, Utility Services saves time, ensures properties are move-in ready, and keeps tenants happy from day one. No more setup delays.
